Posted on Google Laila MTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Google Luíza ParagóTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Peaceful Forest Lodge with One Important Caveat We stayed at Burbi Lake Lodge for three nights in April and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The location is truly special — the lodge is nestled right in the middle of the Monteverde cloud forest, surrounded by lush greenery, a peaceful pond with ducks, and beautiful misty evenings and mornings. The atmosphere feels magical and immersive, exactly what we hoped for in Monteverde. That said, the lodge is about 15 minutes away from Santa Elena town, so it’s not walkable for restaurants or shopping. Keep in mind that the roads in the Monteverde area are unpaved and rough — expect to drive at a maximum of about 15 km/h, which can feel slow and bumpy. The hotel itself is excellent. With only eight units across two buildings, it feels intimate and quiet. Our room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. The highlight was the breakfast — one of the best we had in Costa Rica. They offer made-to-order omelettes, pancakes, and waffles, all fresh and delicious. The only significant issue we encountered was the hot water. It was inconsistent and felt like a gamble each morning. On our first night, the showers ran cold, and one of our kids ended up getting sick afterward. We recommend speaking with management immediately upon arrival to make sure the hot water system is working properly for your stay. Overall, we highly recommend Burbi Lake Lodge if you’re looking for a tranquil, nature-immersed experience away from the busier town center. The peaceful setting, excellent breakfast, and lovely property more than make up for the short drive — just be sure to address the hot water situation right away.Posted on Google Suresh VellaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
